Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2026
These Terms govern your use of My Ready Room and Ready Room Live, both operated by Ship OC LLC. Please read them carefully — and pay particular attention to the section on Voice Recordings & Consent, which applies whenever you use Ready Room Live in a meeting with other people.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy, which together form a binding agreement between you and the Company. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. We may update these Terms from time to time; if we make a material change we will take reasonable steps to let registered users know, and your continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Who We Are
The Services are operated by Ship OC LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), which produces the Viriliter portfolio of products. These Terms cover two products:
- My Ready Room — AI-powered practice for interviews and presentations, with live voice role-play and scored feedback.
- Ready Room Live — a private AI advisor that listens to your real meetings and surfaces suggestions, risks, key points, and meeting minutes in real time.
You can reach us at hello@myreadyroom.ai for general and legal questions, or privacy@myreadyroom.ai for privacy matters.
3. Who Can Use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Services. By using them, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide to us is accurate.
4. The Services
My Ready Room provides AI-generated role-play and coaching for practice purposes. The interviewers, audiences, and personas it simulates are fictional and are not affiliated with any real company or person, even when you provide a real job description or company name.
Ready Room Live is a private assistance tool intended to support you during your own meetings. It is designed to enhance your judgment, not to act on your behalf or to make decisions for you. You are always in control of when it is listening and what you do with what it surfaces.
5. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You may close your account at any time by contacting us or by following the deletion process described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds
- We offer both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel beforehand.
- Payments made on the web are processed by Stripe. Payments made through a mobile app store are processed by Apple or Google under their respective terms.
- You can cancel at any time. For web subscriptions, manage your plan in the app or contact us; for app-store subscriptions, manage them through your Apple or Google account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Except where required by law, fees are generally non-refundable. Refund requests for app-store purchases are handled by Apple or Google. We may change our pricing, and any change will apply to your next billing period after we give you reasonable notice.
7. Voice Recordings & Consent
My Ready Room and Ready Room Live capture audio through your device's microphone and convert it to text. In a practice session you are usually the only speaker. In a live meeting, Ready Room Live will also capture the words of other people who are present — and you are responsible for handling that lawfully.
You are solely responsible for complying with all laws that apply to recording, transcribing, or otherwise capturing a conversation, and for obtaining any consent those laws require from every participant. These laws differ significantly depending on where you and the other participants are located.
- One-party consent. Some jurisdictions allow a participant to capture a conversation as long as that one person consents. As a participant you may be permitted to transcribe without separately notifying others — though informing everyone remains the better practice.
- All-party (two-party) consent. Other jurisdictions — including California, where the Company is based, as well as states such as Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Washington — require the consent of every participant before a private conversation may be captured. Capturing a conversation without that consent can carry civil and criminal penalties.
- Federal and international law. Additional rules may apply, including the U.S. federal wiretap statute and, outside the United States, laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which impose their own notice and consent obligations.
Before you use Ready Room Live in any meeting, we ask that you: tell everyone present that the meeting is being transcribed by an AI assistant; obtain their consent where it is required; and keep your own record of that consent where appropriate. When in doubt about your obligations, consult a qualified attorney — the summary above is general information, not legal advice, and recording laws change over time.
If you capture a conversation using the Services without the consent the law requires, you do so entirely at your own risk and you agree to indemnify the Company as described in Section 15.
8. AI-Generated Guidance Is Not Professional Advice
Our Services use AI to simulate interviewers and audiences, to score practice sessions, and — in Ready Room Live — to surface suggestions, flag risks, and draft meeting minutes. All of this is provided for practice and informational purposes only.
The Services are designed to support your judgment, not replace it. You remain the decision-maker at all times. AI-generated guidance, scores, and minutes may be incomplete or inaccurate, and they are not legal, financial, medical, hiring, or other professional advice. You are responsible for any decision you make in a meeting, interview, or negotiation, and for verifying anything important before relying on it.
9. Your Content
You keep ownership of the content you provide to or create with the Services — including the job descriptions and background you enter, your spoken responses, your meeting transcripts, advisor cards, and minutes ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, transcribe, store, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Services to you.
We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models. You represent that you have the rights necessary to provide Your Content to us, and — for any meeting you capture with Ready Room Live — that you have obtained any consent required under Section 7.
10. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services to:
- Break any applicable law or regulation, including recording and privacy laws.
- Capture a conversation without the consent that the law requires from its participants.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, or interfere with the operation of the Services.
- Resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer the Services without our written permission.
11. Intellectual Property
The Services, including their software, design, branding, and content (other than Your Content), are owned by the Company and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not use our names, logos, or trade dress without our written permission.
12. Third-Party Services
We rely on third-party providers to operate the Services, including OpenAI (AI processing and transcription), Stripe (payments), Auth0 (login), Microsoft Azure (hosting), and Vercel and Netlify (web hosting). Your use of the Services may also be subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
13. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that transcripts or AI output will be accurate, or that using the Services will produce any particular outcome — including getting a job, winning a deal, or any result in a meeting. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company and its owners, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your use of the Services; your violation of these Terms or any law; your Content; and, in particular, any recording or transcription you make without the consent required under Section 7.
16. Termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a way that creates risk or legal exposure for us or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before bringing any formal claim, we encourage you to contact us at hello@myreadyroom.ai so we can try to resolve the matter informally.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and take reasonable steps to notify registered users. Your continued use of the Services after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
